We are pleased to offer our professional services for the rewinding and repairing of your Ingersoll Rand (IR) compressor motor. Our service ensures that the motor is restored to OEM specifications, delivering reliable performance and extended operational life. The work will be carried out by experienced technicians using high-grade materials and precise workmanship.
A. Preliminary Inspection
Visual inspection of motor casing, rotor, and stator.
Electrical testing for insulation resistance, winding resistance, and continuity.
Identification of fault cause (burnt winding, insulation failure, bearing damage, etc.).
B. Motor Rewinding Process
Dismantling: Remove end covers, rotor, and other components.
Burnout: Strip damaged windings using a controlled-temperature burnout oven to prevent lamination damage.
Core Cleaning & Inspection: Check stator core for hot spots, damages, or loosened laminations.
Rewinding:
Use super enamelled copper wire of the original gauge/specification.
Apply Class F/H insulation system as per OEM or better.
Insert slot liners and wedges using high-dielectric materials.
Varnishing: Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) with high-quality insulating varnish for enhanced dielectric strength and mechanical bonding.
Curing: Bake the motor in a temperature-controlled oven to ensure complete varnish curing.
C. Mechanical Overhaul
Replace bearings with high-quality SKF/NTN/FAG bearings.
Inspect and machine rotor shaft journals if needed.
Check and align end covers and bearing housings.
D. Final Assembly & Testing
Reassemble motor with new gaskets and seals.
Perform no-load and load tests (vibration, temperature rise, insulation resistance, winding resistance).
Paint motor exterior with industrial-grade enamel paint.
